Set of 3 EPITACT Hallux Valgus orthoses

Use :
Contraindication: The orthosis should not be used if the big toe is no longer mobile laterally. Do not apply to damaged skin. Do not use in cases of diabetes, arteritis, neuropathy of the lower limbs or ulcers.

Description :
- 1 mm of Epithelium 26®.
- Joint pain and contact pain linked to hallux valgus.
- Realigns the big toe, relieves joint pain and protects the “exostosis” from contact with sheets, mattresses, etc.
- Patented thermoformable orthosis: you mold the orthosis to your patient's foot in a few minutes. It is therefore very comfortable because it is adapted to their morphology.
- Scalable: the orthosis can be thermoformed several times to obtain a progressive level of correction.
- Machine washable at 30°C in the provided washing net.

INDICATIONS
Daily wear of an EPITACT® corrective night orthosis helps correct hallux valgus deformity. It helps relieve nighttime joint pain and eliminates contact pain. The orthosis can also be used during rest periods during the day.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
• Big toe not mobile laterally.
• Do not use this product while walking.
• Do not use on broken skin.
• Do not use in case of diabetes, arteritis, polyneuritis, neuropathy
lower limbs or ulcers.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
• First of all, check that the big toe is still mobile laterally
when handling it. If not, do not use this device.
• The orthosis can be thermoformed on either the right or left foot.

- THERMOFORMING: Follow the thermoforming instructions provided. The Orthosis
Nighttime corrective can be thermoformed several times.

- SET UP :
• Pass the forefoot through the large bracelet.
• Then put the big toe into the small sleeve.
• Make sure that the white target is located at the level of the “exostosis”
(see diagram on the thermoforming instructions provided).

- CONDITIONS OF USE:
• During the first 3 uses, it is recommended to wear the orthosis
2 hours only.
• During subsequent uses, the orthosis can be worn for several hours.
Joint pain may be felt during the first few uses.
• A 2nd thermoforming to increase the correction can be implemented
work (see thermoforming instructions provided).

COMPOSITION: 52% thermoformable plastic,
28% polyamide/elastane fabric, 20% silicone.

INTERVIEW
• Machine wash at 30°C in the washing net provided or by hand
(without rubbing).
• Allow to dry naturally. Do not iron. Do not expose to the
heat (>50°C).
