What is K-Taping®?
K-Taping® has quickly become an important pillar of modern therapy. One example among many is post-operative care for breast ablation. This effective concept has its place in elite sports. The patient retains full mobility, and quality of life improves. Training remains possible despite injuries, and rehabilitation phases are reduced. K-Taping® is also used by many sports disciplines to support athletes during training, prevention, and rehabilitation. Taping tapes offer a wide range of possibilities. These include the treatment of muscle contractions, joint instability, lymphatic edema, incontinence, and period pain.

K-Tape®:
For proper application of K-Taping® therapy, a specially designed tape, the K-Tape® sports strap, is required. Thanks to the quality of the material used (waterproof membrane but allowing evaporation), it is possible to wear the tape with great comfort and without discomfort for several days, sometimes even up to two weeks. Its elasticity is comparable to that of human muscle. K-Tape® adheres to the skin thanks to its wavy acrylic layer and is activated by body heat. The durability of the tape, which does not contain any medication or adhesive substances, remains the same regardless of what the patient does: at work, during sports, while showering, swimming and for all activities of daily life. The therapy therefore maintains its effect as long as the muscle tape remains in place.

Do the different colors of K-Tape® have the same characteristics?
All K-Taping® tapes, regardless of color, are manufactured in the same way, have the same tension and the same mechanical properties. Except for K-Tape® Pure, which has been bleached with oxygen and has not been bathed in a color (to meet a growing demand from patients for discreet tape). It is therefore more flexible, softer and even better tolerated by the skin. Originally designed only in red and blue (the effects of chromotherapy being controversial because of the lack of scientific support for the action of the wavelength on the cell), kinesiology tapes were used in a rather stimulating and soothing setting.
